Maybe. I don't know. [ Explaining Senketsu would certainly be easier in person, as for the other matter... that remains to be seen. To be honest, she'd rather not talk about any of it, but if Saber really wants to know then she will have to put in the effort and walk/drive all the way here. ]

[ She fought Archer and survived. That much is more than interesting to Saber. And after getting to know the other girl better lately, she wishes to...be friends. ]

[ And she's there, perhaps not quickly, she's still bad at directions, but she does make it! Dressed normally today, no maid dress or lolita. ]

Ryuko? [ She knocks a few times. ]

[ At least one of them is dressed, as Ryuko is still wrapped in her blanket with nothing but bandages and undergarments underneath. Ryuko abruptly opens the door in the middle of Saber's knock, and just steps aside for her to enter. ]

Sorry. I forgot Athena was outta the house for a bit.

[ Ryuko, girl, Saber is a proper knight you can't go strolling around in your underwear! Even if you have a blanket! Still she does her best to act grateful. ]

Do you two live together?

[ She's not exactly perfectly polite, no "excuse me for entering" or anything you might expect from a Japanese girl because...she's not. But she does wait to be directed to sit somewhere, standing with her hands clasped. ]

Yeah, somehow we do. [ It's been that way since day one. In any case, Ryuko shuts the door behind Saber and directs Saber to her room, which doesn't have much other than a kotatsu table and a mattress. Nowhere near as detailed as Athena's room! There are some leftover cans of instant noodles on the floor... ]

I see. [ Saber had moved in with Rin and Archer on day one, she had never gone to her own apartment. She didn't need to, after swearing a contract with Rin she wanted to be as close to her as possible. ]

Do you not cook? [ The one lucky thing Saber has is Archer to do all the cooking for them. She's not going to trip over anything though. ]

I’m learning slowly… it’s not going so great. [ To nobody’s surprise, when her own teacher is a terrible cook! Otherwise it’s a life of fast food and takeaway for her.

She sits down on floor by the kotatsu and gestures Saber to do the same. ]

You should ask Shirou, if you wish to learn. [ He is the best chef Saber has ever seen. Except Archer but...we don't mention Archer!!

Seeing Ryuko sitting makes her sit as well, kneeling politely on the floor with her legs folded under her. She even folds her hands on her lap too, with her back perfectly straight.

But she doesn't speak, letting Ryuko decide on her own when to talk. ]

[ This silence is kind of uncomfortable. She was expecting Saber to bombard her with questions the moment she entered, but so far it’s been a fairly social visit. It’s not like Ryuko can offer her tea either, since she doesn’t even have that at the house. It’s just… silent staring from both sides.

SIGH. Might as well get this over with. ]

Look… what happened with Archer was kinda my fault, so I don’t want you thinkin’ I’m some victim or anything like that. [ Having said that, she does partly hold Archer responsible, too! ]

[ She's not trying to be that way! Saber just is a polite girl, she wants Ryuko to go at her own speed and not make her feel uncomfortable! ]

It was your fault? [ Saber is surprised to hear that. She doesn't particularly trust Archer, she trusts Ryuko much more. That's because Ryuko never betrayed her and tried to kill her Master. ]

I do not understand. Did you attack Archer?

I saw him… well, it looked like he was tryin’ to kill someone, but it wasn’t the case. [ It didn’t help that Archer berated her by telling her she’ll regret challenging him. ] I couldn’t just let him do as he pleases. So, yeah… things got outta hand.

Archer was? [ Saber is still sitting demurely, hardly looking like any sort of swordsman or even a knight of legend with her hands folded in her lap. But she doesn't look very happy. ]

...Was he fighting with Shirou? A boy your age, with short red hair?

I'm not in a position to confirm that. [ She wants to be honest with Saber, but also has to respect Shurou's wishes not to tell anyone about that. Fuck you and your secret lives, Fate cast! ] Do ya understand what I'm trying to say?

[ Saber really doesn't like that answer. She sits forward a little, her face stern. ]

It was Shirou then. He does not want others to know about it. [ She is certain of that, who else would tell Ryuko not to tell anyone. ]

I understand you fought Archer because he was fighting with Shirou.

[ She knew Saber would be smart enough to figure it out with the clues Ryuko left her. At least this way she didn’t have to go back on her word to Shirou, and yet Saber should know about these things since she seems like the only sane person in their circle of friendship… or whatever these Servants and Masters call themselves. ]

Y’know, the truth is, Archer just rubs me the wrong way. Our little tango was bound to happen sooner or later, so it ain’t like I regret it.

Archer is a Servant, he is not human. It is foolish to attempt to fight him. You could have been seriously injured!

[ Saber lets out a bit of worry in her voice, which surprises herself a little. She doesn't want someone dying because of something she could have stopped. ]

Saber… [ What a strange outburst; she didn’t think her safety would mean that much to her. If anything, she thought that Saber and Archer were in league of protecting Rin, despite their odds. ]

I’m alive, aren’t I? [ And she’s not exactly ordinary either… ] Surely ya didn’t come all this way just to lecture me. ‘Cause I’m gettin’ enough of that as it is around here.

[ This is just the side of Saber that not many people get to see. Ask Shirou, he should know it pretty well, especially when he asks about stupid things. ]

I am not lecturing you. [ Yes she is. ] I only state a fact, that humans cannot stand against Servants. If he had fought at full strength he would have killed you.

[ And she makes a bit of a face at that last part, she doesn't want to see Ryuko die. ]

Hmph. [ She appreciates Saber’s concern, even if she’s not good at showing it. It does bother her that Saber sees her as a weak person, however. ]

Y’know, Archer compared me to you while we were fighting, I guess that makes us both not human, huh?
